Alligator Plant

The Alligator Plant (Kalanchoe daigremontiana), also known as Mother of Thousands, is a distinctive succulent known for producing tiny plantlets along the edges of its leaves. Its unusual growth habit and bold foliage make it an attractive addition to succulent collections, containers, and decorative garden displays.

• Appearance: Features long, fleshy, triangular green leaves, often with darker markings underneath. Small plantlets develop along the leaf margins, giving the plant its characteristic appearance.
• Indoor/Outdoor Use: Suitable as both an indoor succulent and an outdoor container plant in warm climates. It is best kept in controlled planting areas because the plantlets can spread very easily.
• Care: Prefers bright light to partial sun, very well-draining soil, and moderate to infrequent watering. Allow the soil to dry between waterings and avoid waterlogged conditions.
• Benefits: Low-maintenance, drought-tolerant, highly distinctive, and very easy to propagate from the plantlets that naturally form along the leaves.
