Olive Tree

The Olea europaea, commonly known as the Olive Tree, is an evergreen fruit tree valued for its silvery-green foliage, attractive branching form, and edible olives. It is widely grown in warm, dry climates for both fruit production and ornamental landscaping.

• Appearance: Features narrow, leathery grey-green leaves with silvery undersides and a naturally twisted, sculptural trunk as it matures. It produces small cream-white flowers followed by green fruits that darken as they ripen.
• Indoor/Outdoor Use: Best suited as an outdoor landscape and fruit tree in sunny, well-drained areas. Young plants can also be grown in large containers.
• Care: Prefers full sun, well-draining soil, and moderate watering while establishing. Once mature, it becomes highly drought-tolerant and should not be kept in waterlogged soil.
• Benefits: Evergreen, long-lived, drought-tolerant, produces edible fruit, and adds a distinctive Mediterranean look to gardens and landscaped spaces.
