Jelly Bean Plant

The Sedum rubrotinctum, commonly known as Jelly Bean Plant, Pork and Beans, or Christmas Cheer, is a compact succulent known for its plump, bean-shaped leaves that often develop red or bronze tips in bright sunlight.

• Appearance: Produces short, branching stems covered with fleshy green leaves that resemble jelly beans. The leaf tips can turn red, orange, or bronze under strong light, and mature plants may produce small yellow flowers.
• Indoor/Outdoor Use: Suitable for indoor containers and outdoor succulent gardens, especially in sunny, well-drained locations.
• Care: Prefers bright light to full sun, very well-draining soil, and light watering. Allow the soil to dry between waterings and avoid waterlogging.
• Benefits: Drought-tolerant, colourful, easy to propagate, and ideal for pots, rock gardens, mixed succulent arrangements, and small decorative displays.
