Grapevine

The Vitis vinifera, commonly known as Grapevine, Common Grape Vine, or European Grape, is a woody climbing plant grown for its edible grapes and attractive spreading foliage. It is widely cultivated in gardens, vineyards, pergolas, and productive landscapes.

• Appearance: Produces long climbing stems with broad lobed green leaves, curling tendrils, small flower clusters, and bunches of grapes that may ripen green, red, purple, or black depending on the variety.
• Indoor/Outdoor Use: Best suited as an outdoor fruiting vine for trellises, pergolas, fences, arbors, and vineyard-style planting.
• Care: Prefers full sun, fertile well-draining soil, moderate watering, and strong support for climbing. Regular pruning is important for maintaining shape and encouraging good fruit production.
