Caustic Vine

The Sarcostemma viminale (accepted name Cynanchum viminale), commonly known as Caustic Vine, Caustic Bush, or Caustic Creeper, is a distinctive succulent climbing shrub known for its smooth, nearly leafless green stems. It naturally occurs across much of sub-Saharan Africa, including Kenya.

• Appearance: Produces long, slender, fleshy green stems with very few or no visible leaves, creating an unusual sculptural appearance.
• Indoor/Outdoor Use: Best suited as an outdoor succulent or landscape plant, especially in warm, dry gardens, rock gardens, and naturalistic planting areas.
