Bottlebrush

The Bottlebrush (Callistemon / Melaleuca species) is a colourful evergreen shrub or small tree known for its distinctive brush-shaped flowers. Its bright blooms and dense foliage make it a popular choice for gardens, boundaries, entrances, and landscaped outdoor spaces.

• Appearance: Produces cylindrical flower spikes made up of numerous fine stamens, giving the flowers their characteristic bottlebrush shape. Blooms are commonly red, though some varieties may produce pink, white, or yellow flowers.
• Indoor/Outdoor Use: Best suited as an outdoor landscape plant. It works well as a feature shrub, hedge, boundary plant, small ornamental tree, or as part of flowering garden beds.
• Care: Prefers full sun, well-draining soil, and regular watering while establishing. Once mature, it is relatively drought-tolerant and benefits from occasional pruning to maintain shape and encourage fresh flowering.
