Boston Ivy

The Parthenocissus tricuspidata, commonly known as Boston Ivy, Japanese Creeper, or Japanese Ivy, is a vigorous deciduous climbing vine valued for its dense foliage and strong seasonal colour. It is widely used to cover walls, fences, pergolas, and large garden structures.

• Appearance: Features broad, three-lobed green leaves that form a dense cover and often turn brilliant red, orange, or burgundy before falling.
• Indoor/Outdoor Use: Best suited as an outdoor climbing plant for walls, fences, trellises, pergolas, and large landscape structures.
• Care: Prefers full sun to partial shade, well-draining soil, and moderate watering while establishing. Regular pruning helps control its vigorous growth.
• Benefits: Fast-growing, excellent for vertical coverage, highly decorative, and especially attractive because of its strong seasonal foliage colour.
