Avocado

The Persea americana, commonly known as Avocado, is an evergreen tropical to subtropical fruit tree valued for its nutritious fruits, dense foliage, and attractive spreading canopy. It is widely grown in gardens, orchards, and larger landscaped areas for both fruit production and shade.

• Appearance: Features broad, glossy green leaves and a rounded to spreading canopy. It produces small greenish-yellow flowers followed by pear-shaped or rounded fruits with green to dark skin depending on the variety.
• Indoor/Outdoor Use: Best suited as an outdoor fruit and landscape tree with enough space for its mature canopy and root system.
• Care: Prefers full sun, fertile well-draining soil, and regular watering while young. Avoid waterlogged soil, as avocado roots are sensitive to poor drainage.
