Mexican Fan Palm

The Washingtonia robusta, commonly known as Mexican Fan Palm or Mexican Washingtonia, is a tall evergreen palm known for its slender trunk and large fan-shaped leaves. It is widely used in avenues, entrances, compounds, resorts, and large-scale landscape planting.

• Appearance: Develops a tall, narrow trunk topped with a crown of large, bright-green fan-shaped fronds. Older leaves may hang below the crown if not trimmed.
• Indoor/Outdoor Use: Best suited as an outdoor landscape palm in spacious, sunny locations.
• Care: Prefers full sun, well-draining soil, and regular watering while young. Once established, it becomes relatively tolerant of heat and dry conditions.
• Benefits: Fast-growing, highly architectural, drought-tolerant once established, and excellent for creating height and a strong tropical appearance in landscapes.
