Spider Grass

Spider Grass commonly refers to plants in the Liriope genus, especially Liriope muscari. It is an evergreen, grass-like perennial widely used as a groundcover, edging plant, and ornamental landscape feature. Despite its appearance, it is not a true grass.

• Appearance: Forms dense clumps of long, narrow, arching green leaves, often with small spikes of purple, lavender, or white flowers followed by dark berries.
• Indoor/Outdoor Use: Best suited as an outdoor landscape plant for borders, pathways, slopes, mass planting, rock gardens, and groundcover.
• Care: Grows well in full sun to partial shade and prefers well-draining soil. It tolerates shade and becomes relatively drought-tolerant once established.
• Benefits: Low-maintenance, evergreen in warm climates, useful for erosion control, and excellent for creating neat borders and dense groundcover.
